yesterday lend songsong my laptop to do pw. later went and check and found him watching 'detective conan' cartoon...... he did not return the laptop yesterday, and sent me a msg at 1 a.m. to tell me this morning he'll come up to my room to get the case of laptop and bring it to school. and for that reason he's not going for the assembly. i woke up at 6 to receive the msg. i thought it was too troublesome and told him to bring the disk instead. then i somehow realised yesterday promised ming to bring laptop in case they have to present. ok, then i went to songsong's room to get my laptop. hehe, anyway songsong did not turn up for morning assembly either.

anyway, op was aweful. i practiced my part yesterday and timed 7.5 minutes. so i passed some parts to songsong. but when i finished my part today, i still spoke for 7.5 minutes.... have to delete some parts, which means more details to be omitted. haiz.

and my tone and facial expression are monotonous. hehe, coz i kept looking at hc*** group (they protested i wrote too much here and so i'll not write the full name here). haiya, coz they sit right in the middle part mah, and the other groups are hiding in corners, and mr lau also. i think on the actual day it'll be better since the classroom will be smaller. haha, and have to smile :):P:D!!

i'm most unsatisfied with zengwei's part. i think he has to remember all the script first then present. he cannot speak on the spot. anyway, hehe, he was pretty scared when i jokingly told him we'll give him 'special training'. hehe, me not that good either, just scare him a bit. actually i don't need the memory cards, but why not refer to them sometimes when u r holding them? or else it's too obvious that u are acting... hehe, but that's a good way to omit details. songsong's scipt was 600 words long, hehe, but he did not have a hard copy and have to speak on spot and omitted quite a few details. hehe. but he's the only one in our group kept within the 5 minutes period

ssef briefing was... the speaker reminded me of mr wong of physics: u dunno? ok, i'll send all of u to CS!! really lor, he firstly almost condemned SRP and TERP, saying them completely useless and out of the frame of international standard... then, after scaring some of us while offending the others, he took a condescending position and offer us chance to somehow 改过自新. stupid. but the school want all srp students to take part in it lor. haiya, anyhow do lah.

mac meeting. seeing mr lau for the third time. next year we're going to gave intersecondary school math trail! and the campus across hc and tchs lor. must give them warm up session to prepare them for the run. hehe.

anyway... today not bad. math b is having matrices. matrix. hehe. chapter one should be the matrix. two is matrix reloaded, and this one matrix revolution. what about the next one next year? matrix frustration? haha

my parents are both from science stream, one mechanical engineering and the other the other electrical engineering. hehe, but they both are doing administrative work now, and my dad is doing econs for his sort fo MBA lor, and my mum got her 硕士 in some other areas. hehe, my family is really a live example of life long learning.

i have an bad feeling. i feel something's going to snap up, before i go back to china. dunno. i've daydreaming i become very angry, shouting at others and throwing things. or rather, pretending to be angry and scare people off. dunno, maybe just too immersed in the dreamcatcher.

gp is out, hehe, not as bad as expected. haha, fairly well, i should say. a big surprise. i think my compo marker is very nice lor, haha, comment well done first then pointing out i haven't looked into social and cultural aspects, and gave me 20 for content. hmmm, quite good luck. and compre is even more funny. indeed i thought i only wrote nonsense on the paper lor, but nonsense makes sense. thought they did a bit of moderation of answer scheme lah. but my summary and aq really saved me. nvm, this compre score is the highest since i began to do gp.

for ur infor, before gp i was reading newsweek the cancun talk article, then when the paper was distributed, my eyes shone when i saw the globalisation questions lor. hehe, should think and plan for more time, then could have had a nicer essay.

wasn't paying attention during chem lecture. too reluctant to check paper. too painful to check all those mistakes. i got 8 mcqs wrong lor. and couldn't agree with mr ng lah. i'm not that a good peer tutor. hehe, language handicapped, and always jump here and there in concept. not systematic. just show off and lend tutorials, but lack the clear explanation. thought jh could have actually got higher marks for promo, if i did a better job.

yups, as for pw. have to 加油 really!! won't let the hc049 terrorists look down on us peacekeepers!!

HC049 is pressing us. hehe, but we have our own pace. no hurry. we want to be efficient. we want to have good planning. we want to have sound coordination. we have learnt from the lessons in somalia.

realised our junior's graduating folder is nicer than ours. hehe, but the watch is identical lor, only changed class of 2002 to class of 2003, and the strip is blue instead of orange. hehe, and they had an outing in long sleeve white shirts, black pants, black leather shoes and ties. haiya, cunt imagine a big gang like this hanging around in bukit timah or orchard. luckily no one will know they're from tchs.

and pw. hehe, last night wanted to do some stuff with songsong, but ended up with a game session. played the games we played in our primary 2 to 4, like super mario, etc. that was a time when computers are not commonplace (the fastest ones are 486). quite fun, quite reminiscing.

and my parents are considering upgrading the com at home. hehe. that com was bought in 1997. and sadly i have to say it has contracted all kinds of virus, including the famous CIH. hehe, that day was april 26th, the same date as the accident in chernobyl. i had warned my dad not to switch on the com since previous warnings have been issued on newspaper. then my dad was too bored and just want to play solitaire. and... hehe, anyway, u cunt imagine a desktop with 64M RAM but 1G hard disk. hehe, really stupid.

did some pw. i think our report is ok, and with the report, the op should also be no problem. but it's always easier to say than to do.

and my sec 4 juniors r graduating this afternoon! remind me of myself one year ago. by the end of the graduating day we stand on the chairs and sang amigos para sth... hehe, don't know how to spell liao. and the feeling of singing tchs school song! hehe, i think tchs school song is better than hc one lor, all 文言文, and the tune also nicer.

i think jc is really a nice and cruel place to live in. on one hand u get to know so many friends, participate in so many ccas and u can enjoy urself very very much. but when exams comes, when olympiads and s-papers are concerned, it becomes so cruel. everything depends on ur exam marks but nothing else. even project word is marked... sheesh... and the school expect u to do well in studies as well as excel in ccas, and to become leaders some more. hehe, when everybody becomes the leader who will be the follower? i think it's harder to be a good follower than to be a good leader lor. and exams... why they set the questions so hard? that's not the way to show off the standard anyway. at least tchs never do such things lor. seems to me that only ri and ny like to do such kind of things... haiya, nvm, anyway i'm in this college and i have to bear with it.

remember what xyz, the chinese high ex-principle told us. he didn't want all of us to go hc or rj. he wished there're chinese high boys in every jc in singapore and become the student leaders, then tchs will reign singapore someday... hehe, funny the saying, but not the idea.

results came out. quite ok. i'm only worrying about my gp now.

but quite sad to see people who didn't do as well as expected frowning and ... i mean... well, as usual i didn't know what to do, didn't know how to comfort them.

played basketball in the afternoon. then it rained for half an hour. the court was still wet, and we couldn't run. hehe, then we came out of the smart idea of playing half court basket ball with netball rules...... very fun lor.

tml open house. got tkd demo, but backstage lah, in charge of the cd. so u won't see me kicking lor. hehe, think the black belts want to impress the sec 4s so they do the kicks themselves. and the kickes are really exciting and daring. their is one kick which will break 4 targets at one time, and another one the person will 'fly' over other 4 people to destroy the plank with a side kick. hehe.

also have to spend 2 hours at mac stall. haha, got cip hours. mac is really jian.

then can go back to tkd stall and spar somemore, yeah!!

haiya, lost netball today. but we played a good game, just not that lucky. i wanted to be GA! aiya but took that first. then second half yx took that, then bu hao yi si to ask him off lor. hehe, GD is ok for me lah, got intercepted some passes, but also make some turnovers. the the referee! she judged i committed obstruction even though i lock my arms down in front of my body lor. nvm, though that penalty cost us a goal later.

anyway, ten min play is just too short.

really, will feel very sian after fos. hope the papers are coming down soon and pw also soon finish, then i can go home! yeah!!

yups, i want to thank all the players and supportors who came for badminton! i must thank franklin for giving us such a good fight on the guys single matches, esp many opponent players are from team. then also fenniu! hehe, her steady performance in gal's singles give us an edge over many other classes! of course not forgetting jiahui. hehe, the strategy for mixed double is that u have to hit the shuttle to the gal's side, but jiahui did such a good job! hehe, not only she saved the drops and smashes, but also always hit the shuttle back on the opponent gal's side, then i can just be jian and smash to the girl lor. hehe, i'm always the most jian one.

so tired, but very enthu to do pw. hehe, dunno why. hehe, hope tml psg seminar can read up all the articles and highlight, so mr lau won't be so unsatisfied. also have to hand in third draft by thursday. hehe, everybody in my pw grp must add oil lor.

yesterday i tried to change the bootscreen for my xp start-up. i wanted a scorpion one! but after i change, the operating system could not get started up, even under safe mode!! very terrified then, coz all my pw stuff and srp stuff, and mvs, mp3s, books, etc are all the the hard disk! seems to be the problem of the service pack i've installed. very panic. then tried to start with ms-dos. hehe, i learned the command five years ago, and now almost all forgot. but luckily can remember some lah. then can copied back the original bootscreen file, and the operating system resumed working. haiz, yi chang xu jing. but i won't try to change the bootscreen liao. wanted to change the log-on welcome screen also, but haven't got a satisfied one yet. my junior downloaded 400 plus lor, thought they were mad. i'd be too bored to click all the links. anyway got a new theme for my desktop, and now when i start up, there's always a cute little clock on the desktop!! hehe

want to do pw, but dunno where to start with.

i was dead, then reborn.

i realised i shouldn't have been so mean to my parents, esp after calling them last night. they indeed wanted to cheer me up, but the problem is that they are so far away.

chatted with one of my junior last night, the whole night, and almost told him the whole thing. hehe, he's even older than me lor. but nvm. felt a bit weird at first, but then realised we have quite a no. of things in common. hehe, we are both scorpions mah, and think in quite the same way. yups, he indeed tried to cheer me up, and i really feel much better. that's not the end of the world yet.there are other opportunities.

realised that maybe i've been stressed too much on the academic side. but i'm just a bit lost. my future is blur, and it makes me blur also. yups, actually i can spend more time on pw, sat, fos, such kind of things.

i'm just afraid of being alone, that makes me 胡思乱想. my roommate is staying in my clustermaster's room nowadays, and we seldom meet and speak to each other. that's why i have to wander around in my junior's rooms. i want to have someone in my sight. better still, if he/she can talk to me.

yups, no need to depress myself so much. no need to be so mean to myself...

was chattin with my mum on msn just now. i told her that i was out for both olympiads. she just kept asking who else got in, etc... cunt she sense i'm so disappointed? maybe i've just been leaving such a 'cool' impression to everyone around me?

i think i'm really a lucky person. when i feel down there're always ones by my side... even the one i'm supposed to hate had been giving me support... well, maybe i have been just taking things for granted, and i want to change now.

well, at least i don't feel 'hopleless'. though my future is still a dream, a mistery for me, but there's still a slice of light i can see and want to reach. i'm not in total darkness, but just want more light. well, i'm too greedy.

fenniu really plays very good badminton. if she'd been training like the players in china, hehe, today may have become a world class player liao. i have confidence of her playing single, but she seems quite reluctant, but we have no choice. jh has not played for long, zh is ok, but not so strong as fenniu. and we don't know the players from other classes. the worst senario is that franklin cunt play because of olympiad. then... if the boys single from the opponent is too strong, we can just let fangyong play single and bet on fenniu's and the mixed double match lor. we cannot afford to lose a single match lor. of course if all are going for fun, then nvm, just anyhow play.

realised that actually can use chinese high khai kee hall to play on saturdays and sundays. but these two weeks the hall is used for graduation day. don't think it will be open...

have to do a bit pw... don't like it.

hehe, somehow dissappointed. i think mr ng is even more disappointed than me. spent almost the whole day with the class, playing netball, badminton, volleyball, etc. somehow distracted me from it. but when i am alone... aiya, hope to get it over soon.

and finally promo ends. f math was ok, except i rushed through three integration questions in the last fifteen minutes. at first forgot all the techniques for integration lor, then did section b first. the 10 either nearly drove me to death. the substitution part is so messy! haha, luckily i got it. but can't be sure whether the answers for the 'found' questions are right. hope i can get the step marks

i did a cool thing today during the exam. i wrote 1 full page for the curve sketching question. then realised i could not sketch the curve. i check back and found there's a little flaw in my differentiation. but i was too lazy to liquid the mistakes and change accordingly. i just squashed the paper, and started on a fresh sheet of paper. that cost me a bit of time, but feel very shuang about that.

tml got return of physics olympiad seletion paper. hehe, hope i'll not get an egg. after that hope to play some badminton, hehe.

f math is coming. i should say i know all the concepts, but when the problems are coming... then have to depend on my instinct and luck somehow.

really slack these days. over the last weekend i just spent 2 hours for chem, and 0 for f math. and today i looked at the past promo papers. well, appears to be ok, at least i know the method. but didn't bother to write down. i hope all the questions are 'show' type, then u can deduce from the answer somehow, and it's like either u can do or u cannot. those 'find' type of questions leave u quite worried when u finish the question.

i realised that i forgot to bring my alarm clock to chem paper yesterday, then i had to always look up at the clock. and my eye sight is failing. hehe, maybe i'm just looking for excuses if i didn't do that well for chem.

yups, after block test when we went out to play, i borrowed a t-shirt from cc. hehe, then never remember to return. then, tmr i'll remember. start with block test, end with promo. hehe, i'm sorry cc.

chem was ok. but have to do extremely well to get into the olympiad team. i've got several funny answers. couldn't concentrate during the exam. may be because played to hard during the weekend. the horoscope says that i have good luck for exams today. hehe, hope that's true.

what to do after promo? want to play badminton! but don't know where to go or who to play with lor. central plaza? that's a bad idea. better with the court and the net lor.

slack again this afternoon, as usual. the promo is stretched too long already, and very tiring. last year was damned tired after the prelims. not physically, but mentally, because the stress of the exams lasted too long. and each exam time i have my crest and trough period, like a wave. i usually perform better for earlier papers, and the mood went down. i can do very well in class tests, etc, but not in major exams, coz i play too hard before and during such exams.

really i think it's a good idea to skip o-level lor, esp for the scholars. we have to face two major exams in two years time, let alone sat, etc, and also have to overcome kind of language barrier in a short period of time. hehe, i'm still a bit language handicapped now.

anyway, there is only one last battle to go.

as usual, haven't done any revision till now. but better start now. chem's not that easy, and still have f maths to go.

my next batch of juniors have just arrived, the first batch of scholars who will be under the through train programme. but i can sense kind of 'generation gap' between them and us. the way they express themselves are just too different from ours. i thought this sec 3 batch is quite weird, with that guy wearing chang2 tong si1 wa4, but i think this batch is even more weird.

and the sec 4s r super bored nowadays. they say they feel the life is meaningless and aimless. hehe, i only felt that way last year afer o-level, in that two weeks we were awaiting moe's return air-tickets for us. and the sec 4 people are so intimate that they can sleep on one bed lor. usually i walk in their room and found 8 people on 4 beds. sheesh. they don't have that kind of tendencies lah, but i think they are just too bored.

got the easiest section B for physics i'm encountered, except the o-level one. i got 30 minutes to check and look around. hehe.

but the mcqs, haiz, the stupid hc teacher who want to fly over the river spoiled my mood to do the rest of the paper. hope that's not too bad.

1st day of promo

finished GP. unloaded a huge burden. but not happy. compo was ok, but i have an onimous feeling that i may be off the track. and compre... sheesh, i couldn't relate to the passage at all. so just wrote rubbish all the way. will be very happy if i can pass.

i think i'm quite lucky. was reading newsweek on the cancun talk before the paper and it came out the topic on globalisation. now i realise it's not difficult to prepare for gp. just mmake sure u are a huge database. the key topics are globalisation, environment, censorship, arts, human/animal rights, governance, so on. anyway u have 12 topics and u can afford to prepare only 2 to 3 main ones. if it happened no topics suit u, hehe, just bad luck liao.

but it's always easier to say than to do.

i nearly mistook the time for the paper for 1 hour only... sheesh, was damn nervous then. but ok lah, but it affects my structure of teh essay.

some people say boys from single-sex schools get some 变态倾向. i used not to believe that. look at me, i'm still normal. until two days ago when i heard what my junior did.

one of them caught a grasshopper on the way back from their english tuition in the boarding school. everything seemed ok until one of them came out with the idea of putting the poor thing in a micorwave oven. another one suggested to use a transparen container so that it is easier for observation. and they did that! gosh! three seconds later that was a 'bang' in the microwave oven. misty smoke evolved. the grasshopper exploded from inside...

and listen to their comment:
it's not our fault. why the grasshopper absord so much energy from the microwave?

sheesh, i'm sure i want to be an animal rights advocate.

hehe, anyway got back pw second draft. very unhappy. why didn't mr lau tell us all the area from improvement at one go in the first draft?

finished chem revision. won't touch it until the coming weekend. should try some f.math questions today. last two days are dedicated to gp and physics. finshied reading the handbooks and bullettin. then have to read through the database for content. anyway gp essay just has that few topics. but who knows? i have to depend on my luck on the actual day.

was playing with my stapler during physics lecture. some how disintegrated it irreversibly... have to get a new one.

anyway, last day in school before promo. every lesson was a bit slack, except chem during a test. i'm afraid i've forgot to do part of a question again. hehe

and no teacher came for physics tut. i think mr chan is happier going to NS than teaching us. sheesh. i've yet to meet a nice physics teacher since i came to singapore. my sec 3 physics teacher, nicknamed 'what do u call' gave the class an average of 49 marks. the sec four teacher scolded us for more time than teaching during school. mr chan is a nicer one, but i heard from some one saying that he's not enthu in teaching, but moe somehow forced him to hj to teach. no wonder he's that happy to to NS.

everyone is mugging hard. hehe, i think i can be considered as a slacker liao.

hehe, school ends early today, coz we had no math lecture and pw was shifted forward.

mr lau recommend us to change the format a bit. but we'll probably not do it. too late liao. why didn't he tell us earlier? and i think our format still ok. zengwei was very keen, as usual, but most majority were just lazy to do so, including me.

why is there pw? so stupid.

i'll probably dedicate the rest of the afternoon to promos. sheesh. yesterday nearly fell sick. after dinner i really felt very dizzy. couldn't study, couldn't even listen to 933. then i slept from 7 to 8:30, felt better and read newsweek for a while.after nine began revision. but i went to my juniors room to revise. they've just finished their preilms and are very boring. so crapped with them, ended up revising very few notes. hehe, and missed a sms, haha, nvm.

yesterday also tuned to BBC. initially didn't know what the person was talking about. but later got a part like this:
you are just a wave in an ocean. your parens, friends, teachers, etc are the crests of the waves, and u are the energy of the wave. the value of ur life is that the wave has to greet the shore to have an impact, something like that, couldn't remember exactly.

got my air ticket. :) Nov 18th. if i have known that the tag thing is from nov 18 to dec 2, i'll not go back so early. sheesh, the school admin just did not inform us earlier.

realised people are not coming to school or lectures. cc didn't turn up. yx went for check up, and michelle was sick. get well soon, michelle.

physics lecture was totally a mess. the lecture never organised the notes properly, then we have to copy here and there. math was ok, ms kwee was slack as usual. got my gp compo back. not too bad, considering i did not have time to write a nice conculsion. going to rewrite it.

and i went to school earlier this moring, though still later than kq. when i went out it was still dark, but by the time i reached school it was a lot brighter. studied some trigo then.

a typical day before exams. i'm sure i'll be playing like hell during the two consultation days. hehe, have to find a way to avoid it to happen.
